The Statement Request application handles communication between customers and water utilities. The application consists of two main parts:
A customer application for submitting requests. It is used to identify and verify the applicant, record their request to the network operator, notify the applicant that the requested outputs are ready for download, and download the outputs themselves.
An internal application for processing requests. It is used to process the request and to prepare and publish outputs for the applicant. Depending on the request type, processing runs in different modes, from a fully automatic statement on the existence of operated networks in the area of interest to complex workflows involving data preparation and statements from lawyers, designers and other responsible staff of the utility.
The internal application naturally uses the GIS both as a source of information on the existence of networks and for preparing data for provision.
The application includes a set of interfaces to customer systems, in which it automatically records the individual steps of communication with the customer, and to financial systems for processing requests whose outputs are subject to a fee.
The application can be used with various GIS platforms, communicating with them through standard WMS and WFS services.
